Interesting range of subject matter; I particularly like the "grittier" B&W images.

I found your website by pure coincidence, when I was searching for photos of Jackson Bridge and Holmfirth. I know Holmfirth, I spent a week there three times in an apartment, twice with my sister and once with a friend who lives near us but is from the Midlands originally, she is married to a Dutchman, who she met in 1944 when he was on a training course (military) in England. I was drawn to the place because of a documentary on BBC in, I think, 2002, and also because of another friend who had met a father and son from Holmfirth, who I got to know as well, and since then I am in regular contact with them by email, text, phone, letters and those 3 visits. I like your pictures very much, and watch them now and again to see whether there are more added to the lot! I, better said my husband and I, have 2 grandsons, lovely kids, they keep us young! All the best, Marianne Smits-Jansen

Excuse me. There ain't no free lunches in this country. And don't go spending your whole life commiserating that you got raw deals. You've got to say, 'I think that if I keep working at this and want it bad enough I can have it.' I am from Japan and know bad English, give true I wrote the following sentence: "One of the most important principles to understand when designing a recessed lighting layout is beam angle." With best wishes

Hi Steve, I'm also Steve (or Stephen) Milner. My family is from the Cumbria area and came to the US in the mid-1800's. Good to see a least one "Steve Milner" with talent. I too practice the art of photography. Best wishes to all the Milner's.

Wow what a hidden immense talent. It was good to read your bio, I had forgotten about your time in Romania, such a pity that you hadn't this great passion at that time as the photography would be stunning. If you fancy exhibiting your work in France next August I would love to profile you. Keep in touch. Ky
