Gallery 3: Coastal Images

In Gallery 3 we have coastal images, some of my favourite scenes from around the UK, exploring the interaction between Man and the coastal environment. I seem to have been developing a Pier theme within my coastal images, so I have grouped them together.

Piers

Cuurently three piers feature here. There is one image from Southend Pier, which is one of the rare shots I am pleased with. The remainder are of Llandudno Pier and the environs, having visited the area several times explains why there are more of these. I have recently added an image of Cromer Pier, which I am also pleased with. I hope to make a bit of theme here, and perhaps they will make their own gallery.

Other Coastal Images

The remaining images are from Moray, Scotland, which is one of my favourite areas in the UK, Galloway in Scotland, various locations in Northumberland and Scarborough, North Yorkshire. Rigg Beach, Garlieston, Galloway is one of the best beaches I have visited, and can be accessed from the car park of Galloway House Garden. Contrast this with the Bank Holiday beach scene at Scarborough. I hold affinity for the marine aspects of the coast, and enjoy harbours and boating of most types. The evening image of Isle of Whithorn Harbour is another of my favourite shots, and reminds of a delightfully relaxing location. The two rowing boats at Alnmouth were a good find.
